For the dates after 2020/05/18 the Spanish Ministry of Health stopped giving the number of recovered people. Therefore, since 2020/05/22 I only show the total number of infected people confirmed by PCR.
* i) When using the total number of infected cases then the pdf files have the tag _ALL.
* ii) When I only use the reported number of infected people by using the PCR tests the pdf file contains the tag _PCR. This is done because for the previous days no quick serological tests were used.
* iii) At some point the number of recovered people will increase because of the healing of the positive cases detected with the immunity tests, so that the evolution of considering all the infected people is expected to slow down after around 14 days. Nonetheless, still there is the chance that many asymptomatic people detected with this kind of tests already passed the illness and, therefore, should not be considered in the time series of data to be analyzed with the code in a meaningful way. However, there is no way to eliminate them.
* iv) The evolution of the data with only PCR tests is very suspicious since 2020/04/25. In my opinion there is a bias motivated by the fact that most of the positive cases are determined by immunity tests, with most of them counted as recovered because they passed the illness some time ago and they have no symptoms. As a result, the number of active cases with only the positive cases from the PCR tests is decreasing strongly because there are many recovered people coming from the immunity tests. This effect could be discharged by having more information than the one I currently have.
* v) The data is obtained from the Spanish Ministry of Health https://www.mscbs.gob.es/profesionales/saludPublica/ccayes/alertasActual/nCov-China/situacionActual.html
- At 2020/04/17, Catalunya loses 4500 healed people with respect to the previous day. It also gives a number of deaths less than the one of the day before by 100. At the same day the Spanish Ministry of Health does not give the number of dead or recovered people.
- At 2020/04/22 the number of infected cases detected by the PCR tests is 6000 less than the previous day.
- At 2020/04/24 the Ministry of Health changed the series of the historical record of daily confirmed cases by PCR for dates above 2020/04/14. The total amount of PCR cases taking into account this updated record, 209802, is not equal to the total number of PCR-confirmed cases, 202990, given also by the Ministry of Health the very same day.
