If your interest in Spanish is linked to the culture and you are interested in the art, history, music and literature of Spain and Latin American countries, this course has a lot to offer you. Over a semester, specialists in different aspects of Spanish culture will offer a panoramic view of the major milestones in each of these fields.

You will study the most representative texts of Spanish literature, the great moments of recent history, as well as the most representative works of our art. All of this with an approach that will allow you to improve your level of Spanish while learning the contents of each workshop.

Off-campus activities

1 day trip to the historic city of Cartagena: The ancient Carthago (city tour, site visits tickets and lunch included).

1 weekend away: Granada (transportation, city tour, site visit tickets and accommodation included).

 

*OPTIONS:
a) international students can register in any of the courses within module 3 (culture&civilization) so as to combine them with regular courses. The tuition fee for each course within that module is 350€. Tuition fee for module 1 is 240€, for module 2 is 380€. b) It is also possible to register in all the courses of module 3 as a full academic program. The tuition fee for the option is 2.000€ (not compatible with modules 1 and 2. c) Both options do not include off campus activities and services.

- Monumental site of San Juan de Dios.

History Workshop:

- City Museum.

- Visitor Centre and Monteagudo Castle.

- Casa de la Fortuna (Cartagena).

- Civil War Shelter Museum (Cartagena).

Politics and Society Workshop:

- Visit to the Assembly of the Region of Murcia (Cartagena).

- Roman Theatre Museum (Cartagena).

- Visit to San Esteban Palace

Geographical Environment Workshop:

- Interpretation Centre of Muralla de Santa Eulalia.

- Bicycle route through La Huerta and Las Norias (with MuyBici).

Literature and Music Workshop:

- Federation of peñas huertanas and Ventorrillo.

- Visit to La Unión and "Cante de Las Minas" route (La Unión).

- Visit to the mine "Agrupa Vicenta" (La Unión).
