About BioVetMed
The ultimate purpose of the BioVetMed team is to be able to use an optimal biomarker profile to characterize animal health and welfare status routinely, simply and economically. The use of saliva as a routine analytical sample in the laboratory is recommended due to its ease of obtaining, causing minimal discomfort to the sampled animals, and being able to be collected by personnel with minimal training without the need.
BioVetMed focuses its research activity on the search for biomarkers capable of diagnosing a clinical or subclinical pathological state to anticipate the development of animal diseases, and thus improve animal health and welfare while reducing productive losses.
