Course of Study

The curriculum aims to cover all the needs of a student interested in acquiring specialized training in Biology and Technology of Reproduction in mammals. This specialized training will be clearly oriented towards the job market, both in its strictly professional aspect (human assisted reproduction clinics, animal reproduction centers, companies designing and developing products for assisted reproduction, etc.) and in its research aspect (universities, public or private research centers). To achieve this, there are subjects offered that provide fundamental content for the student to acquire basic knowledge about the reproductive process, as well as other subjects with practical-methodological content aimed at developing the student's skills in performing various assisted reproductive technologies (ARTs) for professional practice. The program offers 21 subjects, 8 mandatory and 13 elective, in the first year. The second year is dedicated entirely to external internships and the completion of the final master's project (TFM).

The first block of mandatory subjects has a workload of 24 ECTS credits. It is divided into three subject areas, totaling 4 subjects. All these subjects will be taken in the first semester. To complete the subjects that students will take during the first semester, they must select 2 elective subjects, each worth 3 ECTS credits.

During the second semester, students will take four mandatory subjects with a total workload of 18 ECTS credits, and a minimum of 4 elective subjects, each worth 3 ECTS credits, from the 9 subjects offered (27 ECTS credits offered, out of which 9 ECTS credits are to be chosen).

During the second year, three subjects are offered (external internships, practicum, and TFM), and they are all mandatory. However, students can choose where to complete this second year from the numerous institutions, companies, and research centers with which agreements have been established.
