Complementos formativos Doctorado en Filosofía (Interuniversitario)

In principle, it is possible to access the Doctoral Programme in Philosophy from any degree and area (as far as the applicant has completed 300 credits (totalled from Bachelor and Master’s Degree studies). However, different admission profiles usually require the following guidelines to be taken into account (the training commitment will be written according to these):

  • Students belonging to Profiles 1 and 2 will be able to access the doctoral programme without needing to take any additional training courses.
  • Those who access the Programme from Profile 3 (Master's Degree in Secondary School Teaching, specialising in Philosophy) must engage in some of the research training complements that the Academic Committee determines, unless they choose "Didactics of philosophy" or "Ethics and teaching” as their research line. The training complements will vary depending on the research line chosen by the applicant and will be carried out in one of the master’s degrees offered by any of the universities in the Programme.

Profile 3 students not included in the above will have to take a total of 12 credits, including the subject “Methodology of Philosophical Research” included in the Master’s Degree in Contemporary Philosophy and its Historical Approaches of the University of Murcia, or an equivalent subject included in any of the master’s programmes offered, currently or in the future, by any of the participating universities, and another subject relevant to the chosen research line from those below.

  • Students in Profile 4 must engage in the training complements determined by the Academic Commission, whose members will take into account the chosen research line and the student’s academic background in bachelor’s degree and master’s degree studies, with respect to the tutor and / or supervisor’s opinion.

The Academic Commission will establish the training complements in the speciality of the master’s degree in Research in Philosophy which are coherent with the student’s Doctoral Thesis.
