Latrium is the Laboratory for Inclusive Translation of the University of Murcia, created and directed by Emotra member Marina Ramos. Latrium was born to promote access to culture for people with visual and/or hearing difficulties in the city of Murcia. As a platform for research, creation, training and knowledge transfer, the main aim of Latrium is to exchange resources and experiences through audiovisual translation techniques such as Audio Description (AD) and Subtitling for the Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing (SDH). Since 2019, Latrium has created the accessible content for several theatrical productions and participated in different seminars on accessibility to the scenic arts in Murcia.
