What is the deadline to apply?

From July 15th to September 4th, 2024. The deadline is the same as for normal registrations each academic year as set out in the Instructions and Rules for registration for Undergraduate and Master's degrees.

In accordance with the availability of spots and the criteria of each Faculty, you can register for courses in the second quarter in the extended registration period, which is open from 8th to the 26th of January, 2025. The deadline is the same as for extended registrations each academic year as set out in the Instructions and Rules for registration for Undergraduate and Master's degrees.

How do I apply?

Electronic copies

Submit the application through the UMU Electronic Registry, which you can access from https://sede.um.es (you must have an electronic certificate).

 

With the goal of speeding up the application process, the documentation sent in through one of the above mentioned formal channels can also be sent via email to the address listed together with the link for each Faculty's course offerings.

In addition to filling out the application form, you must provide the following documentation:

  • A copy of your ID card or passport;
  • A copy of your official university transcript from your home university, or a copy of the documentation proving your acceptance to university-level studies;
  • A copy of your degree; (Only for students that wish to pursue Master's level courses)
  • For foreign students: Documentation proving a B1 level of the Spanish language in the Common European Framework of Reference for foreign languages.
  • Nota: Todos estos documentos deberán ser expedidos por autoridades competentes para ello.

Important: All of the aforementioned documentation must be issued by the competent authority in each case.

Where applicable, a sworn translation into Spanish should accompany the documentation.

Is Medical Insurance necessary?

Visiting students are required to purchase insurance that covers, minimally, the following risks for the full length of their stay at the University of Murcia:

  • illness
  • death
  • accidental death
  • medical and pharmaceutical expenses
  • permanent disability
  • repatriation expenses in the event of illness
