Linda Castañeda

Dr Linda Castañeda is an associated Professor (tenured) in Educational Technology in the Department of Didactics and School Organization at the University of Murcia (Spain). She is also a member of GITE (the group of Research in Educational Technology).

She is an Educationalist from the University of Murcia and PhD in Educational Technology by the University of Balearic Islands (Extraordinary Doctorate Award and European Mention). She has spent some periods of working in research visiting at the Knowledge Media Institute at the Open University of UK, The Group of Research in e-learning of the University of Oxford, The Centre for Education and New Technologies (CENT) from the Universitat Jaume I of Castellon (Spain) and The Graduate School of Education at UC Berkeley.

With her background in Educational Technology, she has participated in national and international research projects centred on the use, integration, and evaluation of Information and Communication Technologies in Education, e-learning, and the impact of those on Social, Curricular and Organizational change. Currently, her research is around Web 2.0 in education and training, Personal Learning Environments and Emergent Technologies and Pedagogies.  Currently, she is working on projects centred on Personal Learning Environments, Educational Technology discourse implementation, Innovation in Higher Education, MOOCs, Critical Perspectives on Educational Technology, and Teaching Competence for the Digital World

Dr Castañeda has participated in a wide variety of international events as a speaker and I has published some books (http://www.lindacastaneda.com/en/publicaciones/) and papers in specialized journals and conferences.

Currently, she is leading the national (Spanish) team of three European Projects:

She teaches in degrees related to Education, She is lecturing at the Faculty of Education, in the degrees of Educationalism, Social Education, Future primary school teachers, and also in the Masters of Educational Technology.
