Juan Andrés García-Valero

Dr. Juan Andrés García-Valero works as a climatology technician for AEMET since 2002 and he is member of the Regional Atmospheric Modelling Group of the University of Murcia. His main research has been developed in the search of relationships between the observed climate variability over the Iberian Peninsula (IP) and the atmospheric dynamics. To this end, the study has focused on the Circulation Types, as well as on the use of regionalization techniques. Part of this work has been applied to climate extreme temperature and precipitation events, analyzing their dynamic causes and applying them to obtain climate change projections. Currently, part of his work focuses on the generation of regionalized climate change scenarios through the use of statistical techniques based on artificial neural networks (ANN).
