Laura Palacios-Peña

Laura Palacios-Peña is a PhD candidate with more than three years of experience working with big data technologies. She was working at IDAEA-CSIC (Instituto de Diagnóstico Ambiental y Estudios del Agua – Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas) in 2015. In the same year, she was awarded with the FPU fellowship funded by the Spanish Ministry of Education to carry out the PhD. studies. Her main focuses of research are air-quality climate interactions and aerosol radiative effects by using online couple meteorological-chemical models, observations and big data technologies. She has participated in different national research projects (PRISMA, REPAIR, ACEX) as well as international initiatives (AQMEII, EuMetChem). She has collaborated, as guest research, with different internacional institutions as the University of Oxford or the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL). Nowadays, she has more than 30 communications to international conferences, 2 book chapters and 7 papers published in JCR.
