MADRID BARAJAS AIRPORT is located 8 miles from Madrid city centre. The best option to get from Madrid to Murcia is by train:Departure (Madrid): Madrid-Chamartín or Madrid-Atocha train station.How to get from Madrid-Barajas airport to Chamrtín or Atocha train stations:
Destination: Murcia del Carmen train station.1. BY TAXI: Taxis are available at the airport (approximately 20 minutes). BY TUBE + TRAIN: (The Metro provides links to stations on the Spanish railway network): From the airport, take line 8 to Nuevos Ministerios (approximately, 12 minutes). From Nuevos Ministerios, take the Cercanias Renfe train to Chamartín or Atocha train stations. (There is also a tube connection between Nuevos Ministerios and Atocha train station, but the Cercanias Renfe train is faster.) The whole trip takes around 40 minutes. Approximate cost: 3 €

ALICANTE AIRPORT is located 7 miles south of Alicante. There are three options to get to Murcia:1. BY TAXI, DIRECTLY TO MURCIA. The run takes aproximately 50 minutes, at a cost of about 65/70 €.
2. BY BUS, DIRECTLY TO MURCIA. Scheduled buses run from Alicante Airport to Murcia. Journey takes about 50 minutes and costs 16 €.. Departure times:
Monday-Friday: 10.30, 14.00, 18.15 and 22.15.
Saturdays: 10.30 and 14.00.
Sundays: 18.15 and 22.15.3. BY TAXI + BUS: Taxi to Alicante Bus Station (about 15-20 minutes). There are also sheduled buses from Alicante Bus Station to Murcia every 30 minutes.
MURCIA-SAN JAVIER Airport is located some 30 miles south of Murcia. There are two options to get to Murcia:1. BY TAXI, DIRECTLY TO MURCIA. Approximate cost 45 €..
2. BY TAXI + BUS. First, taxi from the airport to Santiago de la Ribera (nearest town to the airport, only a 1-2 miles away). Second, bus from Santiago de la Ribera to Murcia Bus Station: the cost is 3 €.
Bus departure times from La Ribera on Sundays: 7.15, 8.10, 10.25, 11.55, 14.10, 17.10, 19.10, 20.40.
Please note that times are approximate, as the stop is not the terminus. (The taxi driver will be able to take you to the bus stop.)
