Training complements (PhD in Electrochemistry: Science and Technology)

In accordance with the income profiles, the following training complements are established:

  1. Students with access profiles 1 or 2 (see profiles in next section) will access the programme directly, without the need for complementary training.
  2. For students who access the programme with profile 3, the Academic Commission of the doctoral programme will establish complementary training based on each student’s prior background in the field. These training complements will consist of one or several subjects included in "Fundamentals of Electrochemistry" and / or "Applications of Electrochemistry", up to a maximum of 20 ECTS, belonging to the master’s degree in "Electrochemistry: Science and Technology".
  3. For students with an access profile 4, the Academic Commission of the doctorate will establish, depending on prior training in electrochemistry, the need to study one or several subjects included in "Fundamentals of Electrochemistry" and / or "Electrochemistry Applications", up to a maximum of 20 ECTS, of the master’s degree in "Electrochemistry, Science and Technology". In addition, they must necessarily carry out an equivalent research work of at least 15 ECTS. The work will be carried out within the first three months of the research period and will be directed by the thesis director or, failing that, by the tutor. With this work, the student is expected to achieve the basic skills and competences for research in Electrochemistry. After the training period, the doctoral student will present a report that will be evaluated by their tutor and added to the student’s Doctoral Activities File.
